THUNDERLANE

Here's an idea:

Thunderlane is very much in love in Fluttershy, who later loves him back after a few encounters. His brother Rumble is VERY enthusiastic about this. However, Rainbow Dash, who loves Fluttershy also, grows VERY jealous and shows Fluttershy some suggestive photos of a drugged Thunderlane with Dash. Fluttershy, in a rage that could shake the heavens, kicks Thunderlane out of her house and he is left depressed and broken. However, during an invasion by a still angry Trixie, he finds a creature named Knifehead (from Pacific Rim) that grows on him because his pregnant mate, Otachi (also from Pacific Rim), is being held captive by Trixie and Thunderlane offers a friendship. They team up and head over to Ponyville. Fluttershy, in the midst of all that, discovers Thunderlane wasn't bad and she feels increasingly guilty and very distrustful of Dash, who is wracked with an insane lust for revenge against Trixie when said evil magician supposedly destroys Cloudsdale. As Trixie defeats the Elements of Harmony, Knifehead and Thunderlane come in and save the day in an awesome but close way. Dash gives up Fluttershy as Thunderlane makes amends with the Element of Kindness. They share a passionate kiss. Knifehead also reunites with Otachi and their newborn son, whom they name Bubbles.
